According to the report, the travel sector is slowly recovering from the COVID-19 pandemic's effects, with some regions and nations faring better than others. The best-performing region was Asia-Pacific, which saw significant increases in both domestic and international travel with Japan and Thailand alone making up 50% of searches.

The research also points out that while business travel is still heavily impacted by remote work and virtual meetings, leisure travel continues to lead the rebound. According to the report, the rise of remote work could have a long-term effect on business travel.

In terms of booking behavior, the report shows that travelers are booking closer to their departure dates, likely due to uncertainty around changing COVID-19 regulations and travel restrictions. However, travelers are also booking longer trips, with an average trip length of 12 days.

Finally, the report provides insights into traveler preferences and priorities, with safety and cleanliness ranking as the top priorities for travelers when choosing a destination and accommodation. The report also highlights the importance of sustainable and responsible travel practices for travelers, with a growing interest in eco-friendly travel options.
